Inspired by the famous Italian dessert, our Babà alla zuppa inglese is born from the encounter of Alchermes liqueur, with its typical sweet and aromatic notes, with a delicious dark chocolate filling.
Why BabaBì? To welcome Bianca, the new arrival in the Saccone family!
We wanted to celebrate by dedicating this new babà to her, with its bright color and soft, enveloping heart.
A traditional product with an innovative cooking method that maintains its characteristics unchanged.
The jar-cooked Babà, artisanal and without preservatives, can be kept for up to a year.
It is prepared, leavened, cooked and soaked directly in the jar, so as to make the taste more concentrated and fragrant, without dispersing the flavours and keeping it as if it were freshly baked, preserving all its aromas and flavours.
Our Babà stands out for the uncommon use of NATURAL YEAST instead of brewer's yeast, which gives it an absolutely unique aroma, aftertaste and softness.
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend opening it at least 20 minutes before serving.
Baba ingredients:
soft wheat flour type "0", fresh eggs , butter , sugar, natural yeast (flour of soft wheat type "0"), cocoa, salt, bourbon vanilla
Chocolate ingredients:
glucose syrup, sugar, water, cocoa 10/12, vegetable fat (sunflower, coconut, cocoa butter), dark chocolate (cocoa paste, sugar, low-fat cocoa powder, soy lecithin), natural flavouring, pectin, natural cocoa extract, potassium sorbate, salt, Bourbon vanilla extract.

Why are our babas different?
Usually, Babà in Vasocottura use brewer's yeast to obtain a more stable and faster product in the production chain. However, this compromises the flavor, overpowering the aromas and not making the dough adequately soft.
Our Babà are instead created exclusively with natural yeast : through slow leavening at a controlled temperature, the Babà develop in a soft manner, maintaining all the nuances of flavour , from the softness of the butter to the gentle touch of Madagascar vanilla.
Not simply "Sweet"
All our syrups are studied and balanced so as not to let the simple sweet taste of sugar prevail, but to give the right space to the characteristic flavour of the liqueurs used.
